Prior to any training, the goals of the organisation and desired outcome from the training need to be understood. Thereafter, a customised programme will be developed to address the performance issue. This can be a short 2 hour session, a series of short sessions, or more intense day-long sessions, depending on the level of training required and the time available.
Training session plans will include a variety of suitable training techniques, and will often incorporate elements from the following:
- Importance of the wine category in the alcohol market
- Wine storage
- Wine service
- Tasting key wines & describing them, writing tasting notes, key selling points when talking to customers.
- Food & wine matching principles
Sessions will include some form of assessment to ensure that learning objectives have been achieved. Certificates of achievement/ attendance can also be supplied.
